HARVARD PRESIDENT VISITS INDIA
Drew Gilpin Faust, President, Harvard University and Lincoln Professor of History, visited India in January for the first time. The South Asia Initiative held a conference on Higher Education in South Asia during her visit, and we are pleased that she delivered the welcome remarks to kick off the January 23, 2012, event.
Harvard President Drew Faust meets with students from across South Asia in November, in advance of her upcoming trip to India.
Prof. Venkatesh N. Murthy will be teaching the Harvard Summer Program in Bangalore, India: Bangalore Science Initiative.
This unique summer experience allows students to combine cultural immersion in India with sophisticated scientific research. Students conduct supervised research in quantitative life sciences—including chemical biology and biophysics—in a host laboratory. Participating laboratories are chosen from a large set based on the individual student's interests and the specific direction of the course.
